Chief Flight Instructor

Job Description

The Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) will be based at the location where flight training takes place. The CFI is responsible for the supervision of Flight Training and for liaison between Alpha Aviation Academy and the contracted training provider. CFI shall also act as the safety officer

    Requirements

    The CFI for an ATO conducting flight training shall:
    • Hold CPL or ATPL with IR Rating.
    • Hold a flight instructor rating SEP and IR minimum.
    • Have completed 1000 hours pilot in command of which a minimum of 500 hours shall be Multi Crew aeroplane, which 200 hours may be instrument ground time.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Supervising the performance of the Flight Instructors.
    • Establish a yearly standardisation program for Fls.
    • Maintain a relevant training plan for all new Fls nominated to train cadets.
    • Maintain a robust assessment process whereby the quality of instruction can be maintained.
    • Monitoring cadets’ performance and supervising the remedial training when necessary.
    • Recommending changes and improvements to flight training syllabi.
    • Maintaining records of student flight instruction in the core phase of the MPL program.
    • Liaison with the management to ensure that the optimum number of Flight Instructors is available based on the courses to be conducted and number of students enrolled.
    • Maintaining records of SFIs and student recency and ensuring compliance with current regulations.
    • Maintaining an up to date record of all FI's flight and duty times and ensuring that limitations are not exceeded.
    • Reporting to the CFI any failure to comply with regulations or the relevant provisions of the Operations and Training Manuals.
    • Uphold and maintain the professional standards of all flight instructors and students under flight training.
    • Ensuring effective liaison between the Safety Management Systems of our Academy and the contracted training provider
    • Ensure the timely reporting to the SMS Manager of any reportable event as detailed by the GCAA CAAP 22 safety reporting requirements
    • Reporting any safety-related incident, no matter how small, to the appropriate manager.

    • Knowledge and understanding of general aviation, the aviation industry and Marketing is a plus.

The Sales Manager will be working closely with the GM in developing sales strategies and in planning, coordinating and implementing sales and marketing activities to ensure exceptional growth for AAA.

    ATPL Ground School: Theoretical Knowledge Instructor

    Position Summary

    We are an ATO based in the United Arab Emirates conducting Pilot training towards the issue of the MPL.

    We invite professionals meeting the following requirements to apply for the position of Theoretical Knowledge Instructor, delivering a GCAA ATPL syllabus.

    Applicants should be able to teach at least 5 Theoretical Knowledge subjects to an ATPL standard and should hold or have held an appropriate approval from a CAA.     Synthetic Flight Instructor (A320 SFI)

    Position Summary

    To provide Pilot instruction and training for students on GCAA approved type rating and multi-crew co-operation courses at the highest level of competence.

    Requirements

    • Have a current SFI (A) authorisation for the A320
    • Holds or have held a professional Pilot Licence or a foreign licence acceptable to the Authority
    • Have completed the simulator content of the applicable type rating course at FTO or TRTO
    • Have at least 1500 hours flying experience as a Pilot on multi-pilot aeroplanes
    • ICAO Level 5 in English
